Easy to Maneuver Lesson Plans (Pre-Made & Customizable)

Hunt The Past is dedicated to bringing well rounded units together for classroom and home use. History is vast, so we break it down into small easily digestible lesson plans to serve as a guide and provide insight into the complexities of the past.

COMING SOON: A new customizable lesson plan system to design your own lessons and schedules.

World Map and Timeline Search Engine

Many historical topics are taught within a “bubble,” as if nothing else was happening in the world at the same time. We believe it is important for students to see everything that was happening around the world within any given time period. Our search engine allows students to learn historical dates by correlation with other events and people. This enables them a greater grasp of world history in whole, not just parts, and helps them retain what they are learning.

Historical Gaming Portal

We believe HuntThePast will become the most interactive history based website online. We will be adding interactive features, including access to video games that are created to help students learn. These will not be used merely to fill a child’s time, but rather as a tool to learn history each time they play. Some of them are tests disguised as video games that include backend analytics, which allow you to monitor the progress of your students.

Here is the schedule of some of the games to be released this year:”
* Historical Conquest: The Digital Version (Coming July 2021)
* Conquering the Timeline (Coming July 2021) – Backend Analytics
* Expedition Geography (Coming January 2022) – Backend Analytics
* Classroom Trivia (Coming July 2022) – Backend Analytics
* If I Lived Then: Historic Simulation (Coming Soon After…)

No. We want to make this tool available to all students, so we make it easy to purchase. Membership is charged on a monthly basis. If at any point you need to cancel your membership, you can.

Do I have to buy a membership?

No. There is a free level of access which will allows you to see the most famous of historical figures and events. However, paid membership gives you full access to the topics and additional resources available.

Membership funds pay for our current historians, as well as future historians and writers from around the world. Funds are also used to continue creating interactive games and tools to facilitate further learning, comprehension, and help parents and teachers monitor the progress of their students.

What sources do you use?

We use original texts from around the world including ancient texts. We translate original documents as needed, to preserve the accuracy of information. For example, we used ancient text from both Christian and Muslim writers to teach the Crusades.

How do you keep students engaged with the website?

We use all 7 learning styles so the information can be absorbed by any student, regardless of how they best retain information. These styles include audio, visual, aural, physical, social, etc.

When a student is able to view new information within their own style of learning, they’re much more likely to retain the information and return for more! Using all learning styles also means that students within a grade can be learning about the same topic and retain the information, regardless of how fast or slow they may learn: no one is held up, and no one is left behind. – not sure if you want to say that or not.
